On July 16th, 2025, during the orientation of the July intake at Victoria University, the student community was honored to welcome the renowned Pastor Wilson Bugembe. This special occasion marked the launch of his much-anticipated 20-year music celebration—an inspiring journey of faith, music, and impact that has touched countless lives.

The event set the tone for a year filled with memorable activities, reflections, and celebrations, commemorating two decades of Pastor Bugembe’s extraordinary ministry.

Pastor Bugembe expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Victoria University for the tremendous support in preparing for the upcoming celebration. He also praised the institution for consistently supporting his efforts—particularly by offering scholarships to underprivileged students and backing various community initiatives.

“I just want to say thank you so much, dear students. It’s all about you. At my age, the Worship House has been built with the intent of passing it on to young people so they too can love God. So, thank you for doing this—it means a lot,” he added.

Victoria University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence Muganga, took the opportunity to warmly welcome the new students. He thanked them for choosing Victoria University as the place to begin or continue their academic journey, and encouraged them to embrace learning as a powerful tool for transforming their lives and communities.

“You made a very good decision—and I’ll tell you why. We are Victoria University. We are different. We do not even apologize for being different. We don’t compete with any other university, and we don’t want to be like them in this country.”
