Admission Requirements
To be admitted for the Victoria University Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation Programme, you must have achieved:
An honors degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
We will also consider appropriate professional qualifications with relevant experience, or other qualifications equivalent to the above. Foreign earned qualifications have to be equated by Uganda National Education Board and National Council for Higher Education.
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate a proficiency in the English language by passing an English proficiency Test conducted by the University.

Differences and similarities between evaluation, monitoring primary and secondary data sources.
Qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
Be able to develop and select appropriate indicators for measuring programme outputs, outcomes and impact
Comprehend concepts of baseline and performance targets.
Be able to apply the steps required to develop a monitoring and evaluation system.
Be aware of the three key uses of monitoring data – for project management, feeding into evaluations and sharing and reporting to others.
Generate awareness of the general and specific management problems and their possible solutions.
Develop subject-specific knowledge, understanding and skills appropriate to general business and management careers, as well as for careers in specific functional areas of management.
Develop cognitive skills such as those of analysis, synthesis, creativity and evaluation.
Develop transferable skills.
